Earth and Water are the critical building blocks of life. Here is a rare opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and practical experience of earthworks and rainwater harvesting techniques that are a critical component of any sustainable farm site.

You will gain extensive insights on how to harvest water on contour, save it and then use it to make your site less dependent on outside resources. This 5 day workshop will have you learning on the challenging site that is Tsokar Farm located at Tapovan, Dharamshala. Learn how to create magic with simple yet effective techniques.

Course cost covers food and accommodation. All meals are simple vegetarian fare. We have shared rooms and shared camping tents. We encourage you to bring your own tents, should you be so inclined to have your own space.

About the site:

Tsokar Farm is a 1 acre farm in Tapovan,Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in a mountain gulley, filled with steep slopes and undulations, surrounded by deodar forest and boasting of a spectacular view of the Himalayas. It is a great place to camp, beat the summer heat and learn skills to make your farm sustainable.
