The International Biodiversity Congress (IBC 2018) is being organised as a joint initiative of Navdanya, Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Forest Research Institute (FRI), Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Uttarakhand Biodiversity Board and Uttarakhand Council for Science and Technology, with the support of various international and national governmental and non-governmental organisations. The IBC 2018 will be held at Forest Research Institute, Dehradun from 4th to 6th October 2018.
Evolved from the Indian Biodiversity Congress, IBC-2018 includes a wide array of programmes including International Seminar, Exhibition, Women & Biodiversity Festival, Youth Biodiversity Summit, Civil Society Meet, Workshops, National Photography Exhibition, and Documentary Film Festival, besides a series of satellite and side events.
With a galaxy of international experts attending various programmes, IBC 2018 will be a unique opportunity for researchers and academicians share and discuss innovative ideas to achieve the biodiversity and United Nations sustainable development targets set for the betterment of planet and mankind. Kindly consider this as a formal invitation to attend and contribute papers for the IBC 2018. The major theme of IBC 2018 is “Biodiversity for Ecological Civilization: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”.
