The Sankalan programmes can be meaningful to you if you wish to be a holistic leader/ facilitator in any organization, school, or community. They may also be valuable to anyone who wishes to explore holistic wellbeing processes for both individuals and communities.

The Sankalan Internship for Facilitators requires you to attend at least 5 six day programmes over a 2 to 3 year period. This intensive engagement of learning from Nature’s principles will help you join an expanding network of process facilitators and co-creators of communities.

The introductory programme to become such a facilitator is the Inner and Outer Ecology programme, which is offered as part of the Sankalan Summer Event – April 2018

Welcome to Sankalan!
( Introductory programme at the Sankalan Summer Event, 17 to 22 April 2018, Bangalore)
The focus of this programme is to support individuals in their search for greater meaningfulness and fulfilment in their lives. Getting in touch with unconscious patterns and exploring experiences and relationships can help us redefine meanings and make new beginnings.

Significantly, understanding and aligning with Nature’s principles can help us discover fresh ways of looking at ourselves and our work, philosophy of living and our direction in life;

8th Summer Event

17th to 22nd April, 2018
During the Sankalan Events we learn and live in a vibrant residential community of about 60 members at the serene Bhoomi campus. We will work in small groups of about 10/ 12 participants and 2 facilitators and part of the time in larger groups; Mostly, we will be sharing our stories, understanding how to apply principles of Nature to our life situations, reworking meanings and exploring new possibilities. Learning through living in a community happens organically too. The programme will also include Nature meditation and other sessions outdoors, music, walks in the garden as well as delicious and nutritious organic food.

There will be about 12 facilitators who have 10 to 35 years of experience in such work who will anchor groups during this Sankalan event.

Other programmes for the Sankalan Internship for Facilitators
1. Wholistic Leadership:
We are used to ideas and patterns of leadership in a patriarchal, pyramidal system. What can leadership be like if we think like members of an ecosystem?

2. Role & Identity for Wellbeing:
This programme helps participants explore experientially the importance of conscious and unconscious processes of one’s psychological roles and identities and their impact on our patterns of thinking, feeling and acting.

3. Deep Ecology – Learning from Wilderness:
Held at a retreat centre in the Sharavathi Rainforest in central Karnataka, during this programme, Nature will be our teacher most of the time… We will focus here on exploring how we connect to wilderness, our embeddedness in Earth and then to apply our learnings to our lives and work.

4. Co creating Eco-wise Communities:
Eco-wisdom can become an integral part of the culture of a group or community when principles of ecosystems are consciously accepted and the group evolves processes to apply them.

5. Spiritual Sutras and Facilitation:
Participants have the opportunity to experientially explore their cognitive and emotive maps and also their habits of perception through spiritual sutras that appeal to them
