Women of India Festival – 2017 exhibiting Organic Products from all over India begins in New Delhi from October 1 – 15, 2017.
Women of India Festival – 2017, organized by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development will begin from October 1st -15th in Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi. The Festival will exhibit organic products from all across India and being dedicated to Women of India, women entrepreneurs and artisans especially from rural India will get an opportunity to exhibit and sell their organic products without incurring any cost, be it any display charges or travel and accommodation costs. The festival will get an overwhelming response with more than 200 stalls to be set up at the Festival for organic products.
Seeing the success of last year’s Festival, growing demand as well as an appreciation for Organic Products in Delhi, the Ministry has extended the duration of the Festival from 10 days to 15 days for this year’s edition. Therefore, The Women of India Festival (Organic) 2017 will be held from October 1st– October 15, 2017 that Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi. As in previous editions of this popular Festival, this year to the theme is ‘Organic’, be it food items or many other genuinely eco-friendly products.
The Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi is the force behind the novel idea of having this festival. Such initiatives would provide a much-needed window to all women who are producing organic products, incognito in the vast width and breadth of our country.
This year, the Festival will not only empower women but also serve as a platform to educate people at large about the benefits of organic products, besides creating more awareness about the programs, schemes, and acts of the Ministry relating to the betterment of women and children.
The Festival will have organic products from all across India and is dedicated to The Women of India, whereby women entrepreneurs and farmers, especially from rural areas get an opportunity to exhibit and sell their organic products without incurring any cost, be it display charges or travel and accommodation costs. The Festival will have manufacturers of Organic Products from all states of India. You may display and sell a variety of Organic Products like, Cereals, Pulses, Millets, Staples, Spices, Oils, Honey, Tea, Coffee, Organic Ice-creams, Ready-to-Eat Snacks, Kitchen Composters, Skin-care, Hair-care, Beauty-care, Aromatherapy, Organic Cotton Fabric, Linen, Solar Products,Water Hyacinth Craft, Cowdung Air Purifier, Jute Craft, Wild Edible Forest Products,Organic Seeds and Bioproducts, among other genuine organic products.
For this year’s edition too, the Ministry is inviting select women entrepreneurs and producers of Organic products to participate, whereby each participant may send up to two representatives to participate in the Festival.
WCD 2017 look forward to your immediate response so that the final list of participating organic manufacturers can be formed without delay. As you would understand, the stalls are limited and participants will be allotted slots on a first-come-first-serve basis. All interested participants should without fail take possession of their stalls on September 30th, a day prior to the exhibition. All outstation participants are advised to bring along at least 800-1000 kgs, each of their products for sale so that their stocks last until the end of the Festival. The Cooperatives of Organic Farmers are advised to bring at least 3000 kgs of the produce. The luggage charges for the merchandise for one way on the production of original tickets from railway/bus for reasonable quantity of goods would be reimbursed before the culmination of the Festival.
